SESSION OUTLINE

Activity 1: Learning to look Children will spot animals and other details in Pissarro’s ‘View from my Window’. They will handle materials from the painting.

Activity 2: Down on the farm Children will join in singing a range of songs including Old Pissarro had a farm.They will think about growing food and looking after animals. They will meet Mme Pissarro and take part in farmyard role play.

Activity 3: Through my window Children will be encouraged to imagine stepping into the scene and think about what they could hear, smell and feel if they were inside the painting.

Activity 4: Make and take Children will create a window frame for their own ‘through my window’ picture.
