T. Schroder (2009), no. 132

This caster represents a radical departure from the formula used by de Lamerie throughout most of the 1730s and belongs to a small group of highly original casters marked between 1738 and 1748. The openwork foot is particularly unusual. The combination of scrolls and scalework recall the cartouches of French designer, Daniel Rabel (1578-1637).
