Marks/Maker: London, sterling standard, 1690-1, maker's mark SH in a heart, cinquefoil below, probably for Samuel Hawkes

Two similar SH marks are recorded, one with a cinquefoil and the other with a fleur-de-lis. They occur on a wide range of small domestic plate - spanning the periods 1680-96 and 1672-90 respectively
