CAROLUS HARRIS Armiger, Oxoniensis, dedit corium cujusdam asini Africani ZEBRA dicti, coloris eleganter variegati.

Translation:

Charles Harris Esq., of Oxford, made a gift of the skin of an African ass called a zebra, which is of beautifully variegated colours.
