The Cast Gallery is open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday. Admission is free of charge. The gallery is normally available for drawing classes and schools, as its collection of sculpture constitutes an invaluable instrument for the study of ancient art and the changing conception of the human body. There is normally no need to make an appointment, but as space is limited it may be advisable for groups to do so through the Ashmolean Museum Education Office.
Access to almost all works in the collection is freely available, but visitors wishing to see casts not currently in exhibitions are requested to apply to the Curator. Students or scholars wishing to use the online sculpture database or on the Cast Gallery computers can obtain a password by applying to Milena Melfi, Assistant Curator (milena.melfi@classics.ox.ac.uk).
Opening Hours: CLOSED
