Services
As the largest collection in Britain after the British Museum, the Heberden Coin Room plays a vital role both in making coins and medals accessible to the general public. With the wealth of material in the collection and experts covering most areas of coinage, the Coin Room acts as a focal point, drawing in scholars, collectors, educational groups, and school parties interested in learning about coins. The Coin Room also serves as a regional centre for coin identification.
