A Pre-Raphaelite Poetry Contest
Poetry inspired the Pre-Raphaelite artists to create paintings. For this contest, their paintings will inspire Sixth Formers to create poetry!
The Ashmolean is delighted to support this contest being organised by Oxford Brookes Poetry Centre. Sixth formers are invited to write a poem inspired by the selection of Pre-Raphaelite paintings that feature below. Ten poems will be shortlisted, with first, second and third prizes to be announced during a prize-giving ceremony at the Museum on Wednesday 23 April, 2014.
