Francis Bacon / Henry Moore: Flesh and Bone

This major exhibition will display works by these giants of twentieth century western art. A large collection of paintings by Bacon and sculptures and drawings by Moore have been carefully selected for this show to bring out the similarities and differences between their work. Stradivarius

Antonio Stradivari (c.1644–1737) – or Stradivarius as he is usually known – is the only maker of musical instruments whose name ranks alongside those of the great composers. For the first time will twenty-one of his instruments, from guitar to cello to violin, be on display together in the UK.

Master Drawings

Drawn from one of the world's greatest collections of works on paper, 'Master Drawings' presents a selection of the Ashmolean's treasures of Western Art. The exhibition surveys drawings of all types by some of the biggest names in art history – starting with Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael, all the way up to Gwen John, David Hockney and Antony Gormley.

Tales in the Round: Manju Netsuke from the Ashmolean

XU BING: LANDSCAPE LANDSCRIPT
