Groups are welcome in the Museum, but advance booking is essential for all group visits, whether you are self-guided or taking part in one of our activities. For popular subjects, such as Egypt and Greece, we suggest booking a term in advance. For all other groups we request ample notice and recommend that you inform us of guided visits at least three weeks in advance, but we recommend booking even further ahead to guarantee your reservation.
All large groups should be split into groups of no more than 12 people. School groups and groups of young people should bring one or two adult leaders per 12 people.

A letter will be sent to you as confirmation of your booking.
When calling to make a booking, be prepared with the following information:
- Name, address and telephone number of the school/organization.
- Contact person at the school.
- Preferred date(s) and time(s).
- Number of children and adults.
- Ages of children in your group.
- The area of the Museum you wish to visit and/or the subject of your tour.
- Your preference for either a guided tour or unguided visit.
- If unguided visit preferred, please provide details of duration of your intended visit.
- Does your group have any special needs (wheelchair, non-English speaker,
etc)?
