The Ashmolean Museum

Open: Tues – Sunday 10am – 5pm, Bank Holiday Monday 10am – 5pm
The Museum is closed 24 – 26 December, 2014.

The Museum will be opening to the public on Monday 29 December

Gallery Closures

The Greece Gallery (16) will be closed from 16 September to the end of October for redevelopment.

Ashmolean Shop

Open: Tues – Sun 10am – 5pm;
Mondays from 30 June to 25 August: 10am – 4pm

Ashmolean Café

Open: Tues – Sun 10am – 4.30pm
Mondays from 30 June to 25 August: 10am – 4pm

Ashmolean Dining Room

Open: Tues – Thur 10am – 4.30pm
Fri & Sat 10am – 10pm

The Dining Room will be open on the following dates until 11pm:

Western Art Print Room

The Ashmolean's extensive collections of prints and drawings are open to the public in the Western Art Print Room.

Open: Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4.30pm

Please note that visitors wishing to see drawings by Michelangelo and Raphael are requested to make an appointment at least twenty-four hours in advance.

The Eastern Art Study Room

The reserve collections of the Eastern Art department are available for viewing in the Eastern Art Study Room (The Jameel Centre).

Open: Tuesday – Friday 10am – 1pm and 2 – 4.30pm

All items in the reserve collections are available for viewings by appointment. Please contact us before your visit.
