The Ashmolean café is situated in the basement of the Museum and provides a light, pleasant space combining 19th century architecture with neutral modern decor in which our visitors can relax and enjoy some refreshment.
Serving a range of hot meals, delicious salads, sandwiches, soup and homemade cakes, the café can offer something for everyone, from a three course lunch, afternoon tea, to a quick coffee. All food served in the café is made using the best quality ingredients and, where possible, locally sourced produce and is prepared fresh on site daily. Follow this link to view a typical daily menu.
Café Events
The café is also available as a unique venue for private events and can cater for wedding receptions, birthdays and drinks parties. We can accommodate dinner for 90 persons and canapé receptions for up to 200, and can provide an event tailored to suit your personal taste and needs.
