Ashmolean Museum Picture Library and Photographic Studio
The Picture Library at the Ashmolean contains a growing archive of photographic material from glass plate negatives, 35mm film, black and white film, colour transparencies and our expanding digital collection. As a result of relocating to new premises we now offer an entirely digital service, providing high resolution digital images and photographic inkjet prints Our collection ranges across all departments within the Museum including:
- Antiquities (Evans Archive and Allen aerial photographs)
- Cast Gallery
- Eastern Art (Creswell Archive)
- Heberden Coin Room
- Western Art

Once we have received your order or reproduction application you will be invoiced accordingly. Invoices may be paid by cheque, credit/debit card or BACS in pound sterling only. Photographic work will be carried out once payment has been received.

Invoicing
On receipt of your order a pro-forma invoice will be issued. Please quote this invoice number at all times and in all correspondence. Failure to do so may result in considerable delay.
Print on Demand
The Ashmolean Picture Library now offers a Print on Demand service hosted by PictureCabinet (a registered trademark of Cabinet UK Ltd). This service offers our customers a selection of images available for printing on various materials with a choice of dimensions and framing services. Currently there are close to one hundred images available and there is an ongoing intiative to add further images. Please visit www.ashmoleanprints.org
