Exhibitions
The Ashmolean is planning an exciting programme of exhibitions for the newly extended Museum from 2009. We will be seeking major corporate sponsorship for these exhibitions – please contact us for more details.
Our current major exhibition ‘Treasures: Antiquities, Eastern Art, Coins & Casts' will run until the opening of the new Museum. We are delighted that Henmans LLP is sponsoring this exhibition and the accompanying guide.

Patrons Events
Two of our supporter groups have a number of events that are available for sponsorship, which bring with them an attractive range of benefits including free places at events, credit on related materials and corporate discounts.
Tradescant Patrons Group
The Tradescants are the Ashmolean's mid level patrons group. Set up in 2003 and named after the royal gardener, John Tradescant, whose collection of art and artefacts formed the Ashmolean's original collection, the group now has a membership of over 190. A number of events are held specifically for the Tradescants each year and corporate sponsorship would put you in contact with this active group. Sponsorship opportunities include: funding private views and special lectures on specific areas of art and archaeology, printed material and many publicity opportunities. The Director of the Ashmolean is very involved with this group.
Carter Jonas, Oxford Estate Agent are supporting the Tradescant Group throughout 2007.
Elias Ashmole Group
This patrons group is the most exclusive at the Museum and membership is often at the Director's invitation. Membership currently stands at 125. Two annual events, the overseas Spring Trip Abroad and the Elias Ashmole Group Patrons Dinner, are excellent opportunities for sponsorship. In 2006 Dame Liz Forgan DBE, Chair of the Heritage Lottery Fund, was guest speaker at the prestigious annual dinner. UBS Wealth Management sponsored the event for three consecutive years. Publicity
Banners
While the Ashmolean’s redevelopment is underway there will be a range of sponsorship opportunities available, including sponsorship of the hoardings on St Giles and additional hoardings on the Museum forecourt. Throughout the summer of 2005 both Coutts and Darbys sponsored banners on display on the West wing of the Ashmolean and received very positive feedback from clients and the public at large.
What's On Magazine
The Ashmolean Museum's quarterly magazine has a circulation of 40,000. An A5 full colour glossy publication, it is distributed free to the Friends of the Ashmolean, our Tradescant Patrons, and venues throughout Oxford, and is available in the Museum itself. Sponsoring companies will have their name prominently displayed in the magazine.
Educational Materials
With over 25,000 school children visiting the Ashmolean each year and a varied programme of educational activities in place there is a wealth of opportunities for becoming involved in this area. Projects available for sponsorship include a new outreach programme, ‘Greeks on Tour’, a tailor made workshop designed to be delivered to Years 5 and 6 in their classrooms. Over the next two years, while our Greek galleries are closed for building work, the Ashmolean, using ‘Greeks on Tour’, can continue to play an important role in supporting schools. Additionally we are seeking corporate support for ‘The Big Draw’ in 2007. The Ashmolean Museum takes part in this annual campaign which brings opportunities to discover how drawing can connect people to their environment and heritage.

In return for your supporting our exhibitions programme we are able to offer a range of benefits that can be tailored to your specific goals. These can include the following:

- Website (with 5 million hits per year). The opportunity of cross linking your company's existing web site with the Ashmolean Museum's during the run of the exhibition and creating a sponsor page on your web site allowing you to inform clients and customers of your partnership with the Ashmolean.
- Merchandise - this can include a range of products, e.g. Christmas cards, mugs, posters.
- Private Guided Tours of the exhibition
