Rick Mather has been the creative force behind a number of recent high-profile developments, including: London's Natural History Museum, Dulwich Picture Gallery, and the Wallace Collection; the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, Virginia, USA, and, closer to home, the Sloane Robinson and ARCO buildings at Keble College, Oxford.

Metaphor exhibition designers are working closely with the Ashmolean's curatorial staff to design and plan the many new galleries created under the Ashmolean Plan. This includes the Museum's new interpretation plan, Crossing Cultures-Crossing Time, which will encourage visitors to consider objects in both cross-cultural and historical contexts.
