THE RENAISSANCE APPRENTICE WORKSHOP

With Alan Pascuzzi, artist and art historian

Takes place in the Learning Studio

In-Person Live Event – Join us at the Museum

Join Alan Pascuzzi to explore art training in the Renaissance and how it was based on a centuries-old 'master-apprentice' relationship that not only taught aspiring artists the art and craft of drawing, painting and sculpting, but also cultivated the personal style of each individual.

In this practical workshop, you'll use the same drawing materials and make your own studies like ‘novice’ apprentices in the 1400s.

You will also take part in 'advanced apprenticeship' and learn the craft and artistry of egg tempera painting and gold leafing.

All materials will be provided.
