With Sarah Hardy, director of the De Morgan Museum & Collection

We're remembering the life and work of  the remarkable designer and Art and Crafts tile maker William De Morgan (16 November 1839–15 January 1917) in the 150th anniversary month of his birth, with this special talk.

Speaker Sarah Hardy will discuss de Morgan's beautiful ceramics and the business which produced them. She'll explore his early years in Chelsea and you'll get to know the staff who worked for him there, through to his most creative period at Merton
Abbey near William Morris’s premises. The talk will also shed light on the long periods de Morgan spent in Italy.
