Oxford Ceramics Fair Event
With Russell Collins, potter
Thursday 4 December, 2‒4pm
Russell Collins owns and runs Hook Norton Pottery in Oxfordshire. He studied at Harrow Art School and has been producing hand thrown pots since opening his workshop in 1969. During this time he has established an international reputation and has worked with potters such as Norah Braden, Mick Casson, Colin Pearson and David Leach. In this workshop he will talk about his work and demonstrate what techniques he uses to create them.

Batik is both an art and a craft, using wax and dye to decorate cloth, this tradition has been practised for centuries. In partnership with the Oxford Asian Textiles Group, learn the principles of batik work and produce a small textile keepsake. Angela Lenman, a member of the Batik Guild, has been practicing and teaching for more than 30 years and will be displaying some of her work as well as helping you create your own.

William Blake Exhibition Event
Illustrated Carols Workshop
With Kerry Lemon, artist and illustrator
Sunday 7 December, 10.30am-4pm
Influenced by William Blake's illustrated verses, participants will create lino stamps to make Christmas cards and banners. This workshop teaches lino cutting, artistic composition, typography and how to combine text and images. The workshop includes a visit to the exhibition 'William Blake: Apprentice & Master'.

Transaction fee: Tickets Oxford charge a small fee of 75p per transaction for charging events. There is no transaction fee for booking free events.
