Howard Carter’s excavation of the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922 was one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th century.

Objects of the Amarna Period (about 1350–1330 BC) alongside material from the archives of Oxford’s Griffith Institute will tell the story of this discovery, its popular appeal, and will explore how modern Egyptologists are reinterpreting the evidence.
