In the run up to Halloween, visit the Ashmolean at night for a spooktacular edition of the LiveFriday series, exploring ghouls and spirits accross cultures and through time.


Tickets for this event have now completely SOLD OUT. No tickets will be available at the museum on the night.

If you have your ticket but not collected your wristband, these will be available for collection at the Oxford Playhouse until 6pm and then from the museum forecourt from 6.30pm on 30 October.

Halloween Dress Up

Dressing up for DeadFriday is encouraged but optional.

Instagram ‘Pharaoh’s Bucket List’ Competition

Dress up as a long dead Pharaoh and share a selfie on Instagram with an object in the museum that you would take to the afterlife. Visit Gallery 22 to find dress up materials and meet the competition organisers, the Ashmolean’s Student Creative Board.

Ashmolean LiveFridays

The Ashmolean opens its doors 7–10.30 pm, giving you the opportunity to experience the Museum and see the collections after hours. Interactive events include theatrical performances, creative workshops and lively talks. The Rooftop Dining Room and Crypt Café stays open all evening.
