The Ashmolean Dining Room's Ben and Hugo Warner Are Acclaimed 2010 Restaurateurs Of The Year

A significant contribution to their company’s success has been the growing popularity of all that they offer within Oxford’s Ashmolean Museum.

The Ashmolean Dining Room, Oxford’s first and only rooftop restaurant, offers not just spectacular views across the city but also exciting food that crosses cultures in keeping with the principles of the layout of the exhibits below. And, most unusually for any British museum, the restaurant is open in the evenings via its own entrance on St Giles Street.

The Café on the lower-ground floor has already proved extremely popular with students, families, mothers and children for its range of sandwiches, salads, lunches, cakes, tea and coffee.

The Warners’ aim is to make hospitality at The Ashmolean even more exciting. The rooftop terrace is now open on the fourth floor making it the place to meet for an early evening drink while an ice cream stall has just been introduced on to the Museum’s forecourt.

More innovations are planned as visitors to the Ashmolean continue to benefit from being in the extremely hospitable hands of Ben and Hugo Warner, Tatler’s 2010 Restaurateurs of the Year.
