Conductor John Lubboc with the OSJ

OSJ Proms launch their first concert at the Ashmolean on Wednesday 13 April

Taking inspiration from the Museum’s collections, each themed conce will be introduced by members of the Ashmolean’s curatorial team.

To celebrate the Ashmolean’s major new exhibition Heracles to Alexander the Great: Treasures from the Royal Capital of Macedon, a Hellenic Kingdom in the Age of Democracy the first concert in the series will feature Arias and a Duet from Handel’s Hercules, sung by the soprano, Julia Sitkovetsky and the tenor, Nicholas Pritchard.

Enjoy the live music in the magnificent setting of the Ashmolean’s atrium and celebrate the Greek Season in the Ashmolean Dining Room with a two course dinner for £20 or three course for £25.
