The Annual Fund
The Ashmolean counts as its treasures not only the hundreds of thousands of objects in its collections, but also the 380,000 visitors who come to the Museum each year to deepen their understanding of world cultures and art history.
The Annual Fund provides vital operating support, enhancing the quality and breadth of what we can offer our visitors, and makes a significant difference to the day-to-day running of the Museum.
From the conservation, curatorial research, exhibitions, education and public programmes which are so vital to our mission and our community, to keeping the lights on and the galleries beautifully maintained – gifts to the Annual Fund are put to immediate use, wherever the need is greatest.
Launched in March 2008, our second Annual Fund has raised over £80,000 to date.
To make a gift online to the Annual Fund go to the University Giving Pages and use the drop-down menus to choose Museums and Collections, followed by the Ashmolean.

Exhibitions
The Ashmolean presents an exciting and varied annual programme of exhibitions. Free and open to all, they make our astonishingly rich collections of art and archaeology widely available for study, enjoyment and inspiration. Exhibitions also provide public access to private collections held by the University of Oxford, and by individuals and institutions around the world.
Exhibitions trace ideas and aspirations through the centuries and across continents, explore themes, celebrate accomplishments and shed new light on our world and how it came into being.
