  Palagruza: the Isle of Diomedes
19th February - 11th April

Scholars through the ages have searched for the burial place of the Greek hero, Diomedes. Since the Renaissance, the Italians have claimed it lay in the Tremiti islands. But exciting archaeological finds on this small island in the middle of the Adriatic now suggest that Palagruza was Diomedes' final resting place. This display brings together the remains from his 5th century BC shrine, as well as evidence of prehistoric flint industry and a much later Roman temple.
