  • Probably found in western Asia Minor (modern Turkey) or on one of the off-shore islands (modern Greece) in 1625-6, when William Petty, chaplain to Thomas Howard, Earl of Arundel was collecting classical sculpture and inscriptions on behalf of his employer.
