Object: Mould for a model chariot front

Period: Bronze Age: Akkadian to Old Babylonian Period

Dimensions: H: 8.5cm. W: 8.4cm.

Find Spot: Unprovenanced

Description: upper part only; baked; cream slip on pink fabric; at the top: the structural elements of the chariot are clearly depicted; below: a solar disk alongside a crescent on a vertical stand; both set on the same platform; below again: another solar disk (of variant design); alongside a mounted crescent damaged by the break.
