Young Peopleís Programme
In 2015-6 we will be launching a new programme of events and activities for young people at weekends and during school holidays. Inspired by our collections young people will make creative connections with objects and pictures, develop new skills, or try something new. (Coming soon)
Bespoke group sessions
Sketching, designing, discussing, making, building, painting, constructing, filming, photographing, the possibilities are endless! Talk to us about your interests and what inspires your group: together we can design a practical session that meets their needs.
Filming, painting, printing, photography, collage, drama, dance, music... just some of the possibilities for a partnership project with the Ashmolean.
Our projects are usually targeted at working with young people who donít normally visit museums. If you think your group would be interested in working with us please get in touch.
Sessions, events and projects may be useful in supporting work towards an Arts Award.
You can start volunteering for certain events from 16 & 17 years. The Oxford University Museums and Botanic Garden are always looking for volunteers to help out, especially at family activities. Volunteers help at the Ashmolean, Pitt Rivers Museum, Museum of the History of Science, University Museum of Natural History and the Botanic Garden.
Visit the Volunteer Service web page to find out more.
Advance booking is essential for all group visits, even for self-conducted visits.
