About Isis Ceramics: In Oxford, where the Thames is known as the Isis, the art of tin-glazed ceramics continues to flourish. Deborah Sears, painter, designer and owner of Isis Ceramics, has collected 17th-century English Delftware for many years. Her company, which is now situated in a building called the Old Toffee Factory, was borne from this enthusiasm and with it a range of ceramics in beautiful patterns and shapes that evoke the original Delftware spirit. Isis Ceramics now supplies many retailers, designers and public institutions with dinnerware, lighting and decorative pieces.
CERAMICS DAY
This off-site tour is part two of our two-event Ceramics Day for Members on Tue 12 Mar. Earlier in the morning, members can start the ceramics experience by joining us for Matthew Winterbottom's talk on the Story of Tin-Glazed Pottery
