Discover artists' fascination with minibeasts and try fun techniques inspired by artists such as Matisse
Improved speaking and listening skills
SESSION OUTLINE
Activity 1: Minibeast hunt
Pupils will solve minibeast riddles and then hunt for minibeasts in paintings in our Still Life Gallery.
Activity 2: Caterpillar collage
Starting with the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ children will work in groups to create a giant ‘big, fat caterpillar' collage to take back to school.
Activity 3: Make a finger puppet
Pupils will then make a colourful snail or butterfly finger puppet to take away.
