APHRODITE CREATIVE WRITING & DRAWING WORKSHOP

A two-day weekend workshop in the Ashmolean Learning Studio, with a visit to the Aphrodite exhibition

A two-day workshop inspired by objects in the Aphrodite exhibition and the myths of Aphrodite.

In the exhibition galleries, participants will respond imaginatively to the artefacts and artworks with drawing and creative writing.

This will be developed in the workshop, producing images using natural materials, poetry and prose to explore the essence of the goddess.
 

Be inspired by myths including the birth of Adonis (left) and ancient objects like Cypriot figurines (right).

All materials will be provided.
