With Susan Burge, OBE BSc DM FRCP

In this talk, Susan will discuss the use of herbal preparations for thousands of years both as medicines and as cosmetics.

She will reflect on the ancient beliefs that guided the choice of certain plants and will introduce some of the modern medicines derived from plants, considering the science behind these treatments.

Susan is a retired dermatologist, Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine, University of Oxford and Garden Fellow at the Royal College of Physicians, London.

This talk will be recorded and will be distributed to ticketholders following the event.
