MIXED MEDIA OF ANSELM KIEFER: ART WORKSHOP

One-day practical session in the Ashmolean Learning Studio

This past event has now taken place.

With artist Kieran Stiles

Explore how renowned contemporary artist Anselm Kiefer uses found objects like burnt wood, acrylic, charcoal, emulsion, wax, sand and gold leaf to symbolise ideas about truth, memory and myth, illuminating connections between past and contemporary political landscapes.

In this workshop, you'll learn how to make your own piece of work using a process of flux, by first building, then destroying, then rebuilding layers of many different materials.

All materials will be provided.

This is part of our Create & Transform season of events.
