Set among Oxford’s dreaming spires, the Ashmolean Museum is an enchanting venue for your wedding. 

Join us for an inspiring evening showcasing the beautiful and unique spaces within the Ashmolean where you can celebrate your dream wedding.

Our Wedding Showcase will bring together a group of our trusted, hand-picked suppliers and creatives to showcase how they, and the Museum, can bring your dream day to life.

Expect a night of entertainment including a complimentary cocktail/glass of fizz to enjoy in our stunning rooftop space, sample our catering partner's delicious delights, explore design idea with our featured suppliers, and take away a goodie bag full of ideas to help start your wedding planning.

You'll also be able to meet our team and experience the magic and possibilities offered by the Museum's galleries on a grand tour with our dedicated Events Managers.

What to expect

  • Pick-up tips on how to create a luxurious tablescape by the talented Zoe Rowlinson from Fabulous Flowers and creatives from catering partners, Oxford Fine Dining.
     
  • Discuss hair and makeup for your special day with TWIA 2020 National Makeup Artist Of The Year Phoebe Hayter and bridal hair stylist Rachael Capocci. 
     
  • Discuss wedding photography with Vicki and Helen from V&H Wedding Photography, who specialise in relaxed, natural documentary style wedding photography capturing real feelings, fun and genuine emotion.
     
  • Live wedding cake watercolour and wafer paper flower demo, Join Charlene Russell founder of Terre et Lune Cake Design, creates luxury bespoke wedding cakes for the creatively adventurous. Charlene is passionate about the art of cake and delivering on exceptional flavour.  
     
  • Gather inspiration for the perfect relaxed, wild meadows and bohemian wedding florals and meet the team from Flowers by Kirsty who will share how they deliver high-impact, creative wedding flowers that really push the boundaries. 
     
  • Lights, audio, visual, event production: see how That Event Company transform the Museum's spaces with their lights and learn about their live streaming packages.
     
  • Enjoy live vocal and electric performances by Meraki Jazz Collective Band, and fall in love all over again with romantic ambience created by talented harpist @noaharpist.
     
  • The evening will also give couples a unique opportunity to hear the museum’s rare, 1700 Kirkman harpsichord being played by local musician Mike Bardsley and find out more about incorporating this one of a kind instrument into your wedding day.
