Begin the evening with a tour of the Ashmolean’s world-renowned collection, exploring how food and drink were created, carried, and consumed across centuries and cultures.
From feasting to humble ingredients, discover the many ways food has shaped, and been shaped by, human history.
Then ascend to the Ashmolean’s Rooftop Restaurant for a guided tasting with South Oxfordshire’s acclaimed Hundred Hills Winery.
Located just outside Oxford in the rolling chalk hills of the Stonor Valley, Hundred Hills is one of England’s most exciting sparkling wine estates.

With no supermarket presence and listings only in the UK’s finest restaurants and hotels, this is a rare opportunity to taste their wines in the heart of Oxford. Wines will be perfectly paired with canapés featuring cheeses from South Oxfordshire Nettlebed Creamery, all enjoyed with sweeping views over Oxford’s historic skyline.
All ticketholders must be over 18 and able to provide valid identification if required.
