With embroidery expert & author Dr Lynn Hulse
Explore a remarkable selection of May Morris’s works on paper from the Ashmolean collection in the Print Room study visit.
Join textile expert Lynn Hulse, also author of the recent book, May Morris Designs, to get close to highlights of May Morris's work. These include working designs from her years spent managing the embroidery department at Morris & Co. (1885-1896), through to the First World War and beyond.
Lynn will also be looking at May's botanical drawings and her photographic archive of historic needlework. Attendees will have the opportunity to view original embroideries produced by Morris & Co.
