With Işik Güner, artist and contributor to the In Bloom: How Plants Changed Our World exhibition.

You will learn how to draw plants accurately by observing basic botanical shapes and structures and illustrating them with accuracy.

Developing your ability to see shapes, judge angles, draw in proportion, represent form through tonal value, and using light and shading, will result in a life-like drawing.

Isik will then guide you to use watercolour washes and mix colours to create botanical paintings.

During this workshop, the plant and its parts, as well as its colours and textures, will be examined in detail.

You will have the opportunity to work on different types of flowers and their unique fine details, to develop your observational abilities.
