With Katie McNeil, yoga and meditation teacher
Join us for this welcoming 45-minute meditation class held in the Mughal India gallery at the Museum.
We’ll explore accessible meditation practices drawn from a range of classical and contemporary approaches, taught in an embodied and non-dogmatic way. There will be space for stillness, reflection and curiosity, with practical approaches you can take into everyday life.

Mughal carpet with floral pattern, pashmina wool, silk
Suitable for complete beginners and experienced meditators alike, with options to practise in ways that feel comfortable for you.
Please feel free to bring along a blanket or pillow to sit on, and let us know if you require a chair.
The gallery itself has been designed to create an atmosphere of thought and reflection. Here, surrounded by centuries of art and contemplation, we’ll take some time to pause, settle and simply be.
Katie McNeil is an experienced E-RYT 500h yoga and meditation teacher who creates nurturing spaces where students of all abilities can explore mindful movement, meditation, breath, and rest, with curiosity rather than expectation. Her teaching encourages self-awareness, resilience, and genuine connection, without insisting there is one 'right' way to practise.
